Michin Aquarium shares the same conservation DNA as Pelagios Kakunjá, it is a non-profit organization created in 2010 by Mexican scientists Mauricio Hoyos and James Ketchum dedicated to the study and protection of sharks and rays in México.
For this reason we join forces and add actions in favor of the improvement of the environment, conservation; especially the marine ecosystem and it’s incredible sharks, crucial links in the balance of the oceans.
MISSION
Pelagios Kakunjá seeks to understand the ecology and behavior of marine predators to generate data bases for the management and conservation of sharks and other oceanic species in the Gulf of California and the Mexican Pacific.
VISION
They imagine a future with a sustainable ocean where science-based conservation is the cornerstone.
“MICHIN and Pelagios join forces to promote the conservation of the oceans of México.
You can help us too!
